Microsoft released its annual report on Wednesday, and it has listed artificial intelligence as one of their main tasks. According to the last year annual report, mobile and cloud services were Microsoft’s priority. Artificial intelligence has taken the limelight this year.
Microsoft Artificial Intelligence
In this year’s annual report, six of Microsoft’s plans are related to artificial intelligence. ‘t seem likely if you look at the last year’s report. Microsoft said in its report that its strategic vision is to be able to compete and develop a first-class platform and production services for intelligent clouds and injecting new wisdom into artificial intelligence. For some time, cloud had been Microsoft’s focus. It seems to be changing priorities now.
The annual report also mentioned Microsoft’s acquisition of artificial intelligence companies, such as Maluuba and Swiftkey and many other companies. These companies have now formed an AI research team, and focus on artificial intelligence development and other forward-looking research and development work. These R & D work will cover areas such as infrastructure, services, applications, and search.

“Our strategic vision is to compete and grow by building best-in-class platforms and productivity services for an intelligent cloud and an intelligent edge infused with AI. “Our strategic vision is to compete and grow as a productivity and platform company for the mobile-first and cloud-first world.” Microsoft said in its annual report.
Microsoft probably set new visions after the CEO of Alphabet, Sundar Pichai, said that world is shifting from mobile to AI. Even Facebook is focused on AI. It only makes sense for Microsoft to shifts it focus to AI too right now.
