Unlike other smartphone manufacturers, OnePlus has decided to keep the headphone jack on OnePlus 5T. And they have a reason for it.

Earlier, OnePlus was making some jokes regarding this. Now they have cleared everything. OnePlus believes that their hardware and software should result in great product experiences. For now, OnePLus believes that its best to keep the headphone jack on OnePlus 5T. They have some reasons for this.

Wireless earbuds do not provide the same audio quality yet. They think that affordable wireless earbuds do not have comparable sound quality yet. So, keep the interest of their users in mid, OnePLus decided to keep the headphone jack on OnePlus 5T.

The second reason is user freedom. 80% of the users of OnePlus use in-jack headphones. They even thought about using a USB-C port to replace the 3.5mm audio port. This would have allowed them to slim down their phone. But, they think the tradeoff was worth it. Tha is why they didn’t want to take away the freedom of using accessories and earphones from their users.
That doesn’t mean OnePlus is underestimating the wireless technology. OnePlus thinks: “wireless audio technology has a lot of potentials. And if you prefer wireless headphones, our flagships have excellent Bluetooth capability for this choice. But our goal from the beginning has been to bring better technology to the world. That’s why we prioritize the user and make good technology accessible. Sometimes, industry trends go against our core beliefs. This is one of those times when we respectfully disagree on what it means to be courageous. That’s why we’re proud to announce that we’re keeping the headphone jack for the OnePlus 5T – and confident that our product decisions for our upcoming device will offer the best flagship experience possible.”
OnePlus had previously confirmed that they will officially release OnePlus 5T on November 20. The new phone will be ‘intelligent’. You will be able to preorder the phone 4 days before the release. OnePlus 5T is more rounded in appearance, while the phone’s upper part is relatively narrow. The back of the machine is made of metal and equipped with a fingerprint recognition module on the back. This phone will not have wireless charging.
As per earlier news, OnePlus 5T will have a 6-inch 18: 9 full screen and equipped with Snapdragon 835 processor. The machine storage combination is 8GB RAM +128 GB ROM, front and rear cameras are 20 megapixels. OnePlus 5T will have a battery capacity of 3450mAh and will be preloaded Android 8.0 system.
