We have been hearing this lately that with every new mobile phone release the excitement of getting something completely novel have been dying down lately. At the most we get some more memory and storage, a bigger screen, more variety in colors, a better processor and that’s about it. There has been dire need of something entirely new and innovative to create a stir and make people jump up from their seats. The Essential Phone is a step in this direction.
The essential phone is based on the revolutionary modular structure. We have been hearing about the modular structure and that it would make the mobile phones much robust and efficient. The phone is the brainchild of Andy Rubin, who is the guy who created Android OS for the mobile phones, so we can rightly expect something great from him as far as mobile phone industry is concerned. Android OS has rightly fared well in the test of time and has been the most popular mobile phone operating system in a close competition with Apple’s iOS.

Essential Phone Features
The essential phone is priced at a whopping $ 699, however it has a host of new features and functionality that makes it worth every dollar of the cost. First let us discuss the HD display. Here again there is an end to end screen with no bezel at the top and the minutest bezels at the bottom. The screen does not even stop for the camera and wraps it around within the wide display, something that we did not see in the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Here we have the top of the range Qualcomm 835 processor. It is the fastest and most advanced version of Snapdragon that is available and we are sure to experience high speed and efficiency in the mobile. It has a 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Another innovation is that it is made from titanium and ceramic so we are sure it will pass the drop test with flying colors and we do not have to worry all the time to take care of the phone. There are a number of other great features too in the phone. There is wireless data transfer and a magnetic connector.
Now let us talk about the very exciting 360 degrees camera that can supposedly click from the top of the mobile phone too. There is also the dual camera system. The second lens is used for the monochrome photos so it seems that soon we would be hitting off with the trend of black and white photos as there are other phones too that are using this feature for the second camera. The rear camera is 13 MP and the front is 8 Megapixel camera.
Despite all these great and amazing features the main thing is that the phone is coming from Andy Rubin, and that in itself something to count for.
